Archbishop of Caceres appointed PPCRV spiritual director

Caceres Archbishop Rex Andrew Alarcon has been appointed as the national spiritual director of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), according to a post on the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) website.

Alarcon was appointed by CBCP president Bishop Pablo Virgilio David on May 27, 2024, after the CBCP Permanent Council meeting last May 22.

"We express our deepest gratitude to you for accepting this assignment. May the Lord continue to bless and guide your ministry," said Bishop David in the appointment letter.

The duties and responsibilities attached to the position adhere to the statutes of the PPCRV and in coordination with the CBCP Episcopal Commission on the Laity, David added.

The PPCRV, which is a national parish-based and the political but non-partisan lay movement that works for clean, honest, accurate, meaningful, and peaceful elections, is currently headed by Evelyn Singson. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
