Car in Ayala tunnel shooting kept honking before fatal attack
The driver of the expensive car behind the vehicle in the Ayala Tunnel shooting kept beeping its horn even if the victim and his passengers were in the proper lane before the deadly incident on Tuesday.
According to a report on "24 Oras," the fatality's loved ones want to see the suspect in the shooting suffer the consequences of his crime.
A daughter-in-law of the victim said their father was a kind person. He had been driving in Metro Manila for only five months.
The family was only informed that the victim was involved in an accident. They were shocked to learn that he had died due to a gunshot wound.
The victim's remains were scheduled to be taken to Tarlac on Wednesday night.
In Oscar Oida's report on "24 Oras," police are looking at road rage as the motive behind the shooting as the investigation showed that the two vehicles were involved in a road altercation.
The shooting reportedly happened just before the white Innova went into the tunnel. The black Mercedes Benz then proceeded to the service road away from the MPV.
Investigation showed that the bullet entered the back of the Innova before hitting the victim on the back of his head. The bullet went through the neck.
CCTV footage of the shooting was instrumental in the arrest of the suspect in Pasig.
The suspect was presented to the media on Wednesday but wasn't allowed to make a statement.
Police recovered a caliber 40 pistol from the suspect. The empty shell recovered from the crime scene matched the gun. —NB, GMA Integrated News
