Marcos appoints former judge Felix Reyes as PCSO chairman
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Felix Reyes, a former head of the Philippine Judges Association, as chairman of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
The Presidential Communications Office said Reyes, 63, took his oath as PCSO's chairman of the board of directors before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Tuesday.
Prior to being appointed chairman of the PCSO, Reyes served as an acting member of the state-run firm’s board of directors since November 2022.
As director, Reyes assisted PCSO general manager Mel Robles in filing charges against firms that were allegedly involved in unauthorized online lottery operations.
Reyes was the acting presiding judge of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 70 from 2017 to 2019; Lipa City RTC from February 2011 to September 2021; and Calamba City RTC from 2011 to 2013. He also served as a judge at the Marikina RTC.
He took up Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the Far Eastern University from 1977 to 1981 and finished his law degree at the University of the East from 1982 to 1986. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
