The Philippines will hold simultaneous flag ceremonies on Tuesday in celebration of National Flag Day, according to EJ Gomez's report on Unang Balita.

Representatives from various government agencies and advocacy groups gathered at Rizal Park Luneta in Manila on Tuesday morning to participate in the celebration.

The flag ceremony at Rizal Park Luneta will be led by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Meanwhile, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will lead the pledging of loyalty to the flag.

There will also be a Salute to a Clean Flag manifesto that will be led by PCG Commodore Fideles D. Sallidao.

Also present were officials of the National Park Development Committee (NPDC) led by Executive Director Cecille A. Lorenzana-Romero.

Attendees to the event will jointly sing "Pilipinas Kong Mahal" later in the program.

There will also be storytelling and tour to revisit the life of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal, as well as a walking tour covering the entire Rizal Park Luneta.

Expected to attend the event is Atty. Tess Herbosa, former chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and a Rizal descendant. —KBK/RF, GMA Integrated News
