UP announces extended UPCAT application deadline
The University of the Philippines has extended the deadline for its college applications until May 31.
The state university announced on Wednesday that aspiring freshmen for Academic Year 2025 to 2026 should submit their fully accomplished Form 1 Personal Data Sheet by May 31 in order to be able to take the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) on August 10-11.
Meanwhile, the deadline for the Form 2A High School Profile and confirmation by the applicant's senior high school are likewise extended until June 7.
Manually accomplished application forms will be accepted in areas with limited internet access.
The university previously opened its applications on April 15, calling on applicants to submit their Form 1 by May 15, and their Form 2A by May 22.
Test-takers of the UPCAT in August will be tested on language proficiency (in English and Filipino), reading comprehension (in English and Filipino), science, and mathematics.
Applicants may visit upcat2025online.up.edu.ph for additional guidance and details.
More testing centers
Meanwhile, UP also announced that it has increased its testing sites to 113 from 102 last year.
The state university seeks to have at least one UPCAT test center in every province, to include Davao de Oro, Zamboanga Sibugay, Saranggani, Maguindanao del Sur, and Lanao del Sur.
While most of the additional testing sites are public high schools and colleges nationwide, UP will also hold the UPCAT in Oman, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Al Khobar for applicants based in the Middle East.
