Ateneo remains top PH university in Times University ranking

Ateneo de Manila University is still the highest ranking Philippine university in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings.

According to the list, Ateneo is in the 401–500 rank, followed by De La Salle University and the University of the Philippines in the 501–600 rank.

Meanwhile, Mapua University and the University of Santo Tomas were both included in the 601+ rank.

According to THE, the ranking includes 739 universities from 31 territories.

It said that the Asia University Rankings use the same 18 performance indicators as the World University Rankings but are recalibrated to reflect the attributes of Asia’s institutions.

“The universities are judged across all their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook – to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available,” THE said.

Meanwhile, Tsinghua University in China topped the rankings, followed by Peking University and the National University of Singapore. —Joahna Lei Casilao/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
