1,330 pass electronics engineers licensure exam; 1,819 pass test for electronics techs


A graduate of the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas achieved the highest score in the electronics engineers licensure examination held earlier this month, while a Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sto. Tomas graduate did the same in the electronics technicians licensure examination.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 1,330 out of 3,130 passed the electronics engineers licensure exam, with Niele Shem Geronimo Bañas of TUPV achieving the highest score of 91.80%.

The PRC also said that 1,819 out of 2,538 passed the electronics technicians licensure exam, with Dexter Pelaez Astorga of PUP-Sto. Tomas garnering a 95% rating.

Both exams were administered by the Board of Electronics Engineering in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales and Tuguegarao.

The best-performing school in the the electronics engineers licensure exam with 50 or more examinees is University of the Philippines-Diliman, with 50 of its 55 test takers passing.

The best-performing school in the the electronics technicians licensure exam with 50 or more examinees is TUPV, with 67 of its 72 test takers passing.
