Duterte joins rally to support Quiboloy, hits Cha-cha anew
At a vigil for Quiboloy on Wednesday night, former President Rodrigo Duterte criticized Charter change initiatives and the foreign trips of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
Duterte said Marcos' father, the late former President
Ferdinand Marcos Sr., during his administration tinkered with the constitution.
Now, he said another Marcos is doing the same.
After a few decades ang pangalawang taong gustong kumalkal ng konstitusyon natin... Marcos ulit," Duterte said.
Duterte repeated his suspicion that the plan was to abolish Congress, replace it with a parliament, and let incumbent officials stay in power.
"Ang puntirya talaga nila ito dito. 'yung term extension," Duterte said.
You would lose your direct vote," he added.
Aside from Charter change, Duterte also criticized Marcos' travels.
Also at the rally was Duterte's chief legal counsel when he was president, Atty. Salvador Panelo.
Panelo pushed for a Duterte-Duterte tandem in 2028.
Sara Duterte was at the rally but didn't speak.
