BI nabs 13 Vietnamese nationals working in spas, health clinics
The Bureau of Immigration Intelligence Division arrested 13 Vietnamese nationals who were allegedly working in the country without the proper papers, according to a "24 Oras Weekend" report by Jaime Santos.
The foreigners worked in different health spas and clinics in Makati, Parañaque, and Pasay City.
"Meron pong nagtatrabaho illegally at nagtatrabaho ng mga walang kaukulang permits at visas o kaya naman ang kanilang visa was issued to another company," said BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval.
The bureau said it had been monitoring a Vietnamese suspect who owned one of the health spas and clinics. The suspect, likewise, lacked the relevant documents.
Meanwhile, a Filipino-owned clinic employed some of the foreign workers.
"Ito po ay technically harboring illegal aliens because these aliens do not have the proper working visas or permits at nagtatrabaho sa mga establishments na ito," said Sandoval.
