2024 Shari'ah Bar Exams rescheduled in April, May — SC


The Supreme Court on Monday announced that the 2024 Shari’ah Bar examinations have been rescheduled in April and May.

According to the Office of the Shari’ah Bar chairperson, the exams were rescheduled on April 28, Sunday and May 2, Thursday.

“In anticipation of the holy month of Ramadhan and to allow the prospective examinees additional time to review and to prepare the application requirements… the 2024 Shari’ah Bar Examinations have been rescheduled,” it saisd.

The exams were initially set to take place in February.

The Office said applicants must accomplish the application form through the Bar Applicant Registration Information System and Tech Assistance (BARISTA) within January 29 to March 18.

Meanwhile, the hard copy and other documents must be submitted to the Office of the Bar Confidant not later than May 10.

The Shari’ah Bar Examinations are administered to allow Muslim professionals to qualify and practice before the Shari’ah Courts in the Philippines constituted under Presidential Decree (PD) 1083, or the Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines.
