Marcos urges Sto. Niño devotees to translate faith into action

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Sunday called on devotees of Sto. Niño to translate their faith into action to spread the message of hope, love, and joy to other people.

In his message to Cebuanos in the midst of the annual Sinulog Festival in Cebu City, Marcos said he hopes the Catholic faithful will remain united in spurring the socio-economic growth of their city and in further developing the province’s industries.

“To the millions of devotees, I urge you to translate your faith into action so that you may spread the message of hope, love, and joy to others. Most importantly, always pray for spiritual strength and fortitude to overcome whatever challenges and difficulties that may lie ahead,” he said.

Marcos also asked devotees to work hand in hand with the current administration in maximizing all of the opportunities this 2024.

He also reminded them to remain conscious of their Catholic and social obligations for a better life for the Filipinos.

“Guided by our faith and inspired by the bayanihan spirit, let us remain ever conscious of the responsibilities we all bear as Catholics and citizens of our country so that we may reach our shared destiny of a Bagong Pilipinas that opens a better and more abundant life for all Filipinos,” the President added.
