Fire hits commercial area in Tondo, Manila

A fire broke out in a commercial area in Tondo, Manila on Saturday morning.

The fire incident occurred at the corner of Guerrero and Narra Streets, according to a report by Jhomer Apresto on Dobol B TV.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started at 4:26 a.m. on the second floor of an apartment-type unit which was converted into a storage area.

The unit had fabric, slippers and other items.

The BFP raised the second alarm as the fire quickly spread.

The fire was put out at 5:11 a.m.

The BFP is still investigating the possible cause of the fire and will determine the cost of damage to property. —KG, GMA Integrated News
