Erwin Tulfo tops OCTA's 2025 senatorial survey anew

ACT-CIS party-list Representative Erwin Tulfo once again topped the senatorial survey of the OCTA Research group for the 2025 national and local elections.

Results of the Tugon ng Masa National Survey showed that 76% of Filipino adults would vote for Tulfo if he were to run for senator if the elections were held during the survey period, which was from December 10 to December 14.

This is an increase from the 60% that Tulfo scored in OCTA’s October 2023 survey.

Tulfo was again followed by Senator Christopher “Bong” Go with 53%. OCTA said this could give him the second to third spot.

Meanwhile, former Senate President Vicente Sotto III received a voting preference of 48%, which could land him the second to fourth spot.

The survey also showed that 47% of Filipino adults may vote for Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, giving him the third to fifth spot.

Dela Rosa tied with Senator Imee Marcos in the October survey. Marcos, sister of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., received a voting preference of 42% in the latest survey, which may give her the fourth to fifth spot.

Following her, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla received 35%, which may land him on the sixth to 10th spot, OCTA said.

Meanwhile, Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino, former Manila mayor Isko Moreno, and former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson shared the sixth to 11th places with 33%, 32%, and 32%, respectively.

According to OCTA, Senator Pia Cayetano may get the sixth to 12th spot with 30%, while former Senator Manny Pacquiao may land the 7th to 12th spot with 28%.

Former Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay, meanwhile, received a voting preference of 25%, which may get him the 10th to 13th spot.

Senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid completed the list with 20%. This means he may claim the 12th to 22nd spot.

OCTA said that other notable individuals included Defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro with 19% and former Senator Gringo Honasan II, Interior Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos, and Willie Revillame with 18%.

Meanwhile, former vice presidential candidate Willie Ong and former Vice President Leni Robredo were tied with 17%.

The survey was conducted among 1,200 male and female respondents aged 18 years and above from Class AB, C, D, or E in the National Capital Region, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with a ±3 margin of error. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
