DILG celebrates deceased PNP, BFP, BJMP personnel in gift-giving project
The Department of the Interior and Local Government commemorated fallen members of the Philippine National Police, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology through a gift-giving activity at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan on Saturday.
According to a dzBB report by Mao dela Cruz on Saturday, the gift-giving project celebrated the lives and sacrifices of the personnel who had passed away.
Family members and dependents of the deceased personnel received gifts, groceries, and other services as part of the program led by PNP Chief Police General Benjamon Acorda Jr., BFP Fire Director Louie Poracan, and BJMP Jail Director Superintendent Ruel Rivera.
Almost 200 children, 134 of whom had ties to the PNP, 31 from BFP, and 28 from the BJMP, received early Christmas gifts of groceries and a teddy bear.
