DOH logs 183 new COVID-19 cases
The Philippines logged 183 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the country's total COVID-19 infections since the start of the pandemic to 4,127,769.
This is the eighth reporting day of at least 180 daily new cases according to GMA Integrated News Research.
The Department of Health's COVID-19 tracker also showed that active cases decreased by 63 to 3,813, for the 19th straight reporting day of more than 3,000 active cases.
Recoveries rose by 246 cases to 4,057,177, while the death toll remains at 66,779.
The region with the most new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days is the National Capital Region with 1,210, followed by Calabarzon with 457, Western Visayas with 323, Central Luzon with 217, and Central Visayas with 125.
Among cities and provinces, Quezon City reported the most new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days with 334, followed by the City of Manila with 154, Makati City with 145, Cavite province with 137, and Rizal province with 131.
COVID-19 bed occupancy is at 15.5%, with 2,895 beds occupied—including 1,881 in the ICU—and 15,722 vacant. — BM, GMA Integrated News
