SC sets 2024 Bar exams in September

The Supreme Court on Monday announced that the next Bar examinations would be held in three days in September 2024.

In a Bar bulletin, the Office of the Bar Chairperson said the exams were scheduled for September 8, 11, and 15, with Associate Justice Mario Lopez as chairperson.

“Considering the achievements and wealth of experience from previous years, the 2024 Bar examinations #BarNiJLo2024 shall remain digitalized and regionalized with condensed schedule and multiple examiners,” the Office said.

The Office of the Bar Chairperson said the questions would be geared towards practical skills and jurisprudential perspectives.

Meanwhile, the six subjects that would be tackled remained: Political and Public International Law, Commercial and Taxation Laws, Civil Law, Labor Law and Social Legislations, Criminal Law, Remedial Law, and Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises.

“On behalf of the Supreme Court, I pray that you experience all the warmth of love, light of laughter, and joy of gratitude this holiday season. Good tidings and wishing you a #MarVeLousBar next year,” it said.

Last week, the Supreme Court announced that 3,812 out of 10,387 examinees passed the 2023 Bar examinations. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
