2 Pinoy fatalities in Israel-Hamas war laid to rest
Two of the four Filipinos killed in the ongoing conflict in Israel were laid to rest, Raffy Tima reported Monday on “Balita Ko.”
Angelynne Aguirre, the Filipina nurse who died after refusing to leave behind her elderly patient during the October 7 Hamas attacks, was buried in her home province in Pangasinan, days after her remains were repatriated to the Philippines on Friday, November 3.
Israel Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss and Consul Moto Cohen paid their respect to Aguirre at her wake and promised assistance for the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, Loreta Alacre, the 49-year-old caregiver also killed in the deadly attacks, was buried in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
An evacuation center was named in her honor.
Four Filipinos were confirmed to have died from the ongoing conflict in Israel: Paul Vincent Castelvi, a 42-year-old caregiver; Grace Prodigo Cabrera; Aguirre, and Alacre.
Alacre’s body was repatriated to the Philippines earlier while Castelvi was cremated in Tel Aviv.

Cabrera’s cremated remains arrived in the country Monday, November 6.
On Facebook, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) shared photos of Mary June Prodigo, Grace’s sister, carrying her ashes as she returned home from Israel.
Mary June is also an overseas Filipino worker in Tel Aviv, the DMW said.
She is one of the 22 Filipinos who arrived from the war-torn country on Monday — the fifth batch of repatriates.
At least 141 OFWs and five infants have returned to the country due to the conflict, the department added.—Sundy Locus/AOL, GMA Integrated News
