Ex-president Duterte slipped, fell in his room but is safe —Bong Go

Former President Rodrigo Duterte slipped and fell in his room, but tests showed no complications, his longtime aide and incumbent Senator Bong Go said on Saturday.

The accident occurred in his room at his house in Davao City, he added.

Go accompanied Duterte, who is 78, for a medical checkup at Davao Doctors Hospital on Friday.

"Aksidenteng nadulas sa kuwarto ng kanyang bahay si dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, kaya naman sinamahan siya ni Senador Bong Go sa Davao Doctors Hospital nitong Biyernes, November 3, para magpa-check-up," a post on Go's Facebook account read.

"Salamat sa Diyos, ok naman ang X-ray ni Tatay Digong," the senator said.

There were no complications and Duterte is in good condition.

Go also posted some photos of Duterte at the hospital.

The senator also thanked the medical frontliners for their service and sacrifice during the COVID-19 pandemic. —KG, GMA Integrated News
