Bersamin: October 31, November 3 not holidays
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Thursday said that November 3, 2023 is not a holiday.
"Fake news," Bersamin told reporters when asked if November 3 is a holiday.
On Wednesday night, Bersamin also deemed as "fake news" the circulating memorandum stating government work and classes in public schools on October 31, 2023 would be suspended from 12 noon onwards.
Earlier, Malacañang said it has no plans of declaring October 31, 2023, Tuesday, as a non-working holiday.
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has declared Monday, October 30, 2023, as a special non-working day due to the conduct of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
Meanwhile, November 1 is observed as a special non-working day for All Saints' Day, and November 2 was declared an additional special non-working day. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
