The reward for the information on the location of missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon has been raised to P250,000, the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO 4A) said Thursday.
Based on an update from the police, the amount increased after the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) provided an additional P50,000 for the reward.
Earlier, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste and a business sector in the region also gave P100,000 each for the search of the missing beauty queen.
Those who have information on the missing beauty queen may reach the police at 0917-3295952.
PRO 4A Public Information Office chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Chitadel Gaoiran told GMA News Online that the police have yet to identify possible locations of Camilon.
“Naghahanap pa din po ng mga CCTV footages. Then, may mga lugar pa din po na pinupuntahan as based doon sa possible route nung sasakyan,” Gaoiran said.
(The police are still looking for more CCTV footage. We are also checking some places based on the possible route of the vehicle.)
Based on CCTV footage captured on October 12, Camilon’s vehicle was seen passing some towns in Batangas.
Police said Camilon seemed to not be alone.
A person of interest has been identified and the investigation is still ongoing to gather more information about the concerned individual, said Gaoiran.
PRO 4A chief Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas on Tuesday said authorities are optimistic that Camilon is still alive.
Camilon, a Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate who represented the municipality of Tuy, was last seen on October 12 at a mall in Lemery.
Her mother said she was supposed to meet someone in Batangas City, but she did not show up.
Batangas Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel Samson Belmonte ordered "intensified efforts in tracing and gathering information" on the whereabouts of Camilon.
The police added that "stations and units across Batangas Police Province are working together with the Tuy Municipal Police Station in searching for any trace or information." —Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
