Amihan, shear line to bring rain over Luzon areas

The Northeast Monsoon would affect Northern Luzon, while a shear line would affect the eastern section of Central Luzon, according to PAGASA’s Friday afternoon forecast.

The Northeast Monsoon would bring cloudy skies with light rain over the Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, and Kalinga; and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain over the Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Camarines Norte would meanwhile experience cloudy conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to a shear line.

The rest of the country would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of localized thunderstorms.

Flooding or flash floods may occur in some parts of the country due to the weather conditions.

Meanwhile, Northern Luzon would experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country would have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise at 5:48 a.m. on Saturday. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
