LPA trough to bring rain over eastern Mindanao
The trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) will affect the eastern section of Mindanao, PAGASA said Sunday.
According to the 4 p.m. weather forecast, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms could be expected over the Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.
Flash floods or landslides were possible in areas that experience moderate to, at times, heavy rain.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA and localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms were also possible in these areas.
Northern and Central Luzon will experience light to moderate winds from the northeast to southeast, while the coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds from the northeast to northwest with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun will set at 5:41 p.m. on Sunday. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
