Bong Revilla celebrates 57th birthday, 50th year in showbiz

Senator Bong Revilla Jr. just had a double celebration as he marked his 50th year in showbiz and his 57th birthday!

According to Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras,” Tuesday, some of Bong’s previous characters’ costumes were exhibited in the celebration.

“Wala na akong mahihiling pa kundi para sa ibang tao na eh. I’m so blessed pasalamat na ako sa lahat ng mga blessings na natanggap ko kay God. Siguro for my family, they’re all doing okay. For the country, siguro sana makabangon na tayo sa kahirapan,” he said.

“Alam niyo ang hirap mag wish para sa isang taong halos lahat ay mayroon na. Siguro ‘yung health niya since medyo bumabata na kami, matutukan. At yung pangarap namin na sana mapanumbalik ang sigla ng pelikulang Pilipino,” Bong’s wife, Rep. Lani Mercado said.

Bong’s relatives and friends from both the political and showbiz industries were present at the event, including GMA Network Inc. Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon, SVP Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable, First VP for Program Management Joey Abacan, and other GMA Network and Sparkle GMA Artist Center officials.

For his birthday wish for Bong, Atty. Gozon said, “Aba syempre health, good life, and more success.”

Meanwhile, Atty. Gozon-Valdes said, “Alam mo isa siyang napaka loyal na Kapuso and he will always be a Kapuso as far as I’m concerned.”
