Cebu 4th Grade student joins VP Sara as official guest on Korea Trip
A 4th Grade student from Danao City, Cebu joined Vice President Sara Duterte at the Global Education and Innovation Summit (GEIS) in South Korea on Thursday.
According to a statement released by the Office of the Vice President, nine-year-old "Kester" from the Tito Melecio Elementary School would be side-by-side with Duterte, observing and experiencing the role of a vice president.
During the trip, Kester would observe Duterte’s engagements as the guest speaker during the GEIS, meetings with several high-ranking officials from the Republic of Korea, and meetings with the Filipino community in Korea.
He is the third participant of the Office of the Vice President’s special project "You Can be VP" (YCBVP), in which students with impressive academic records are invited to travel and attend official engagements with the Vice President.
Kester follows Grade 9 student "Trix" from Bataan, who joined Duterte when she attended the state funeral of the late Prime Minister Shinzo in Japan, and Grade 8 student "Naomi" from Bacolod, who followed Duterte’s activities in Brunei and Singapore during the Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization meeting. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
