VP Sara to fly to South Korea for education summit
Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte is set to travel to Seoul, South Korea on Wednesday to attend an education-related summit, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) announced Tuesday.
In a message to reporters, the OVP said Duterte will attend the Global Education and Innovation Summit (GEIS), upon the invitation of the government of the Republic of Korea.
She will then serve as one of the keynote speakers for the GEIS, which will be held on September 21, Thursday.
Duterte and her team will be joined by a learner from Danao City, Cebu as part of the “You Can Be VP” project of the OVP.
In June, Duterte went to Singapore and Brunei Darussalam as part of her mandate as president of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). —Giselle Ombay/KG, GMA Integrated News
