Parts of the country experienced flooding over the weekend due to heavy rains caused by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
In Calumpit, Bulacan, the continuous rains and high tide led to around six feet-deep floods in Barangay Meysulao, prompting 58 families to evacuate, according to a report of Jamie Santos on Unang Balita on Monday.
Vehicles were parked in higher areas and boats were on standby to ferry people across the flood.

In Boracay in Aklan, tourists postponed their activities due to the heavy rains. Some activities in the island such as windsurfing and kitesurfing were suspended.
In Bangued, Abra, a portion of San Antonio Bridge was damaged after the water level of the river rose. The bridge was impassable, affecting residents in three barangays of Bangued and Langiden.
