Pacific Airlift Rally 2023 military exercise opens in Pampanga
The Pacific Airlift Rally 2023 military exercise with 14 participating countries kicked off at Clark Air Base in Mabalacat City, Pampanga on Monday.
In a statement, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) said 779 participants from the PAF, Philippine Army, and their counterparts from the Indo-Asia-Pacific region are expected to join the exercise, which will be held until August 18.
Among the activities in the military drills were Flying Training and Table Top Exercises and Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE).
Six PAF, US Air Force (USAF), Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF), Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), and Indonesian Air Force (IDAF) C-130 cargo planes would be used in the exercise.
The exercise would also cover C-130 maintenance, advance patient movement and evacuation, as well as building resiliency through the military band, chaplain support for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
