Parcel containing nearly P46-M worth of ‘shabu’ seized in NAIA —PDEA


Authorities on Wednesday seized P45.9 million worth of suspected shabu inside a parcel in PAIR-PAGS Center at NAIA Complex in Pasay City.

Authorities on Wednesday seized P45.9 million worth of suspected shabu inside a parcel in the PAIR-PAGS Center at the NAIA Complex in Pasay City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

Based on PDEA’s report, the abandoned inbound parcel contained more or less 6,750 grams of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, which was concealed in six foil packs of peanuts.

Authorities said the parcel was declared as “African Cultura."

It was shipped by a certain Michael Mobida of Johannesburg, South Africa and was consigned to a certain Wilbert Dee of Manila, Philippines, according to PDEA.

The NAIA-Inter Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group led the operation. —Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
