Marcos meets with Malaysia's king, PM Anwar in Kuala Lumpur
KUALA LUMPUR - President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. met with Malaysia's king and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Wednesday as part of his state visit here.
His Majesty King Al-Sultan Abdullah and Anwar welcomed Marcos and First Lady Louise "Liza" Araneta-Marcos at the Istana Negara (National Palace), the official residence of Malaysia's monarch.
Marcos also signed the guestbook.

He also planted a tree, called Pokok Melinjau Gnetum Gnemon, with King Al-Sultan Abdullah inside the palace compound.
The Philippine president was scheduled to have a meeting with the King of Malaysia before the state banquet and the bilateral meeting with Anwar.
Marcos and Anwar’s meeting aims to deepen relations between Manila and Kuala Lumpur.
