Paul Soriano, Marcos’ adviser for creative comms, on leave

KUALA LUMPUR—Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications Paul Soriano is currently on leave, Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil said Tuesday.

Garafil told reporters that Soriano’s leave was due to personal reasons. She, however, did not elaborate.

Garafil said Soriano had filed his leave before the State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Soriano was not the director of Marcos' second SONA.

Asked until when Soriano's leave would rub, Garafil said, "Tingnan natin (Let's see)."

Soriano was appointed for the post last October 17, 2022.

Marcos earlier said that Soriano, a film director, would not be part of Malacañang's "PR machine."

According to the President, Soriano will push to improve the country's creative industry and promote the talents of Filipinos. —NB, GMA Integrated News
