Marcos names Vigor Mendoza as LTO chief


President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has named lawyer Vigor Mendoza as the new chairperson of the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

The Presidential Communications Office disclosed the appointment of Mendoza on Wednesday. He will serve the post as an assistant secretary.

Mendoza told GMA News Online that the turnover ceremony would be on Monday, July 24.

Mendoza replaced Atty. Hector Villacorta who served as office-in-charge of the LTO. 

Meanwhile, Marcos also retained Philippe Lhuillier as Philippine Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Spain, the PCO said.

Other new appointees are the following:

  • Arturo Trinidad II - Director II, Department of Finance
  • Moises Tamayo - Director II, Department of Justice
  • William Quinto - Director II, Department of Energy
  • Jesus Elpidio Atal - Director IV, Department of Labor and Employment
  • Joselito Caballero - Director III, Department of Public Works and Highways
