2 hurt in laundry shop explosion caused by LPG leak

Two persons were hurt after an explosion hit a laundry shop in Quezon.

According to Jamie Santos' report on "Saksi," the Bureau of Fire Protection pointed to a defective LPG hose as the cause of the blast.

The explosion happened at the kitchen of the laundry shop.

“Nagka-meron po siya ng explosion ‘yun pong fire origin ng sunog ay hindi po ‘yung laundry shop ang nasunog ‘yung pong kitchen, kalapit po ng laundry shop, meron naman pong siyang separation, may compartment po.”

A similar incident occurred last June 29 at a mall in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.

The BFP reminded LPG users to regularly check and clean their tanks and hoses to avoid any such accidents. —Jiselle Casucian/NB, GMA Integrated News
