Marcos urges Army Special Forces Regiment to keep helping Filipinos in times of crisis
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Sunday called on the Special Forces Regiment Airborne or SFR(A) of the Philippine Army to continue helping Filipinos and ensure their safety in times of crisis.
The President made the appeal during the celebration of the 61st founding anniversary of the SFR(A) held in Nueva Ecija where he lauded the fortitude and prowess of Special Forces who have dedicated their lives to public service.
“We enjoin you to keep aiding fellow Filipinos by supporting them in times of crisis, ensure their safety and well-being during operations and uphold the morale of the people that you serve,” Marcos said.
He also urged them to continue training and empowering themselves to maintain their repute as “experts of unconventional warfare strategies.”
As the commander-in-chief, Marcos also vowed to provide support in all of SFR(A)’s undertakings to strengthen their capabilities and secure their and their families’ welfare.
“I think it would be safe to say that you have lived up to your name as the silent professionals. Truly, you have not only played pivotal roles in times of battle, but have also become dependable sentinels for the Filipino people. Through the responses for humanitarian assistance, you have created a ripple of hope in our communities, increased our people’s trust in the military and in the government,” he added. —KG, GMA Integrated News
