DMW to hold regular online job fair

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said it will hold a regular online job fair to provide employment access to more Filipinos seeking work abroad.

The online job fair will be held every other Friday through the DMW website.  The registration and submission of requirement will also be done through the website, according to a "24 Oras" report by Maki Pulido and Tina Panganiban-Perez.

On Monday close to 2,000 applicants trooped to the DMW office in Mandaluyong City as early as 10 a.m. to try their luck in various vacancies including nurse, welder,  construction worker, accountant and restaurant staff.

Ople said the applicants were temporarily asked to line up in the building's basement to protect them from the rain.

Job fairs were also held in Pasig, Mandaluyong and Paranaque.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
