Mangudadatu officially assumes office

Former Sultan Kudarat governor Suharto Mangudadatu officially assumed office Friday, Deputy Director-General Aniceto Bertiz III said in a public briefing.

“Today, he already assumed his first day, but the turnover formally will be on Tuesday,” Bertiz said.

According to the TESDA official, transition briefings have already begun.

“Tuloy tuloy na ang briefings sa mga transitions at iba’t-iba pong mga departamento. Gano’n din po sa ating mga priority dito sa TESDA, lalong lalo na ang pag-roll out ng ating scholarship nationwide,” he said.

(We already started the briefings for the transitions of the different departments within the agency, as well as the priority programs of TESDA, particularly the roll out of our scholarship nationwide.)

“Medyo malaki po talaga ang mga dapat kahaharapin ng ating bagong secretary dahil po nasa 1.8 million ang target beneficiary ng TESDA and we know, because of his expertise, he will do more in TESDA,” he added.

Last Tuesday, the Presidential Communications Office announced Mangudadatu’s appointment as the new chief of TESDA.
