Marcos preparing for SONA 2023, expresses confidence in report

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos has expressed confidence that he would have something to show when he delivers his second state of the nation address in July.

Marcos told reporters that he would give an update on what happened to the plans and projects that he mentioned during his SONA last year.

"Like any SONA, it will be a report to the nation as to what the situation has happened in the last year, in the last SONA, where we are now, what we have managed to do and where we still have work to do. That is essentially the template that we are going to use," Marcos said.

"So, the things that I mentioned in the first SONA, we will have a look and see ano na ang nangyari doon sa mga pinagusapan noong unang SONA. Sa palagay ko naman, mayroon naman tayong papakita and that's what the content of the SONA I think that will probably be," he added.

In his first SONA, Marcos laid down his plans in addressing various issues in the country such as the state of local agriculture, energy, infrastructure, technology, tourism industry, education, tax system, health, among others.

His speech, which lasted for one hour and 14 minutes, also gave a clearer direction on his campaign promises. —NB, GMA Integrated News
