DSWD: Aid in crisis situations may be sought at satellite offices

Eligible individuals availing of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program may seek assistance at its satellite offices nearest their residences, an official said Thursday.

“Beginning today, June 1, AICS clients should go to the DSWD satellite office nearest their areas of residence as this will be more convenient and economical for them,” DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez said in a press statement.

The AICS is a financial assistance program open to all Filipinos, regardless of financial status, as long as they are facing a crisis.

According to Lopez, DSWD clients living in Northern Metro Manila or the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela, may go to the Camanava satellite office located at the Victory Trade Plaza in Monumento, Caloocan City.

Those from the south, or the cities of Pasay, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, and Las Piñas, may visit the Baclaran Satellite Office at the Victory Food Market.

Individuals residing in Norzagaray, Sta. Maria, Angat, and San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan may avail of the service at the SJDM Satellite Office in Barangay Kaypian. Clients living in the cities of Manila, San Juan, Mandaluyong, and Makati may get their AICS at the DSWD NCR Regional Office in Manila while those from Quezon City may go to the DSWD Central Office in Batasan Road.

Meanwhile, the DSWD said new satellite offices will be opened soon in Pasig City and Rodriguez, Rizal to service those living in the eastern part of Metro Manila and the province. —NB, GMA Integrated News
