During the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Partners Convergence held at the National Museum of Natural History, Duterte expressed hope of continuing forging partnerships with other countries to promote quality education for all.
She said her trip to Singapore and Brunei is part of her tenure as the Council President of SEAMEO, a regional intergovernmental organization among Southeast Asian countries aiming to promote regional cooperation in education, science, and culture.
“Hopefully, we will be able to learn from the two country’s best practices in the area of education and the other SEAMEO member countries,” Duterte said.
The Philippines, represented by Duterte, was formally elected as the SEAMEO Council President in February.
