Pong Biazon in ICU due to 'bad case of pneumonia,' says Zubiri

Former Senator Rodolfo Biazon is currently confined in an intensive care unit (ICU) recovering from a “bad case of pneumonia,” Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri disclosed during Wednesday’s session.

The lawmaker disclosed this as he asked the chamber to dedicate the opening prayer of the session to Biazon, who is also a former Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief.

Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon did not disclose details on the former senator’s health but thanked those who offered prayers for his father.

“We appreciate those who have sent their prayers, as well as the expressions of support. We find comfort in the knowledge he has fire support from prayer warriors,” the younger Biazon said in a Viber message to GMA News Online. —Hana Bordey/LDF/VBL, GMA Integrated News
