LPA formerly known as Amang causes flooding in NCR, Bicol Region

Several areas in Metro Manila and the Bicol Region were flooded overnight due to the low-pressure area (LPA) that used to be Tropical Depression Amang.

According to Marisol Abdurahman's report on "24 Oras," 259 families were evacuated in nine barangays in Camarines Sur due to widespread flooding and landslides.

Apart from the residents, some schools were also affected by the flooding.

The Department of Education (DepEd) - Bicol said they were looking into how many schools in the region were affected.

Meanwhile, a delivery rider in Buhi, Camarines Sur, died after being swept away by a spillway's surging water. According to the MDRRMO, the victim was most likely unaware of how deep the water was.

In Lopez, Quezon, over 90 families were evacuated.

Meanwhile, the rains poured throughout the day, affecting traffic and leaving streets flooded and strewn with muddy rubbish in Metro Manila.
