Oath-taking of 2022 Bar passers set on May 2, 2023 —SC


The Supreme Court on Thursday announced that 2022 Bar Passers will take their oath-taking on May 2, 2023 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

In a notice, the high court said the oath-taking will take place at 10 a.m. at the PICC in Pasay City, followed by the roll signing.

According to the SC, bar inductees must pay P5,000 before they can attend the oath-taking and the roll signing.

“Said fees will cover the expenses of the event, including the use of the venue and allowances and meals of the personnel who will assist and serve on therein,” said the Supreme Court.

It said that payment instructions will be sent to the registered email accounts of the bar inductees.

The Court said Bar passers and inductees must also wear proper court attire. They must also bring their own plain, black toga to be worn during the entire oath-taking ceremony.

“Gowns, indecent suits and dresses, costumes, and other inappropriate attire are strictly not allowed. Those who will not abide by the required attire will be refused entry into the venue,” the high court said.

Meanwhile, guests must wear proper business attire.

“Shorts, denim pants/ skirts, rubber shoes, slippers, and shirts without a collar are strictly not allowed.”

“For ease of reference, photos of recommended and prohibited attires will be sent to the Bar passers along with their clearances and other important announcements,” added the high court. —Joahna Lei Casilao/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
