Mabinay, Negros Oriental to get 50-meter bridge from GMA Kapuso Foundation
Mabinay in Negros Oriental is getting a 50-meter steel bridge from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
As seen on a “24 Oras” report, residents of Barangay Abis have been having a hard time crossing a river since the bridge they had was damaged by Typhoon Odette.
With the Philippine Army’s help, the 50-meter steel hanging bridge will stand tall in no time under the “Kapuso Tulay Para sa Kaunlaran” project.
“Eelevate natin yung ating tulay ng 2.5 meters mula do’n sa natural line para ‘pag nagkabaha ulit tulad ng Odette, di siya aabutin ng tubig baha,” said Sr. Engr. Edgar Eniego.
“Itong tulay na ito sa Mabinay is part of our aid para sa mga nasalanta ng Typhoon Odette,” said Rikki Escudero-Catibog, GMA Kapuso Foundation EVP and COO.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation’s accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
