Philippines logs 368 new COVID-19 cases; active tally at 12,473
The Philippines registered 368 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, while the active tally dropped to 12,473.
This came a day after more than 500 cases were reported.
Based on the Department of Health’s latest data, the active tally went down from 12,491 on Friday.
The nationwide caseload is now 4,070,136.
The recovery tally increased to 3,992,088, while the death toll climbed to 65,575 with 22 new fatalities.
The National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases in the past two weeks with 1,860, followed by Calabarzon with 954, Central Luzon with 475, Cagayan Valley with 403, and Western Visayas with 321.
A total of 10,978 individuals were tested on Friday, and 329 testing laboratories submitted data.
As of Friday, the bed occupancy rate in the country was 19.6%, with 5,291 occupied and 21,654 vacant beds. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
