Palace names new GAB chairman, SBMA board of directors


Malacañang on Thursday announced the new head of the Games and Amusement Board and the latest appointments to the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

According to Palace press briefer Daphne Paez, the following are the latest appointees to the Board of Directors of the SBMA:

  • Allan Troy Dandan Baquir - member representing the national government;
  • Edilberto Salgo Mozo - member representing business and investment sectors;
  • Tomas Fausto Lahom III - member representing business and investment sectors;
  • Honorario Cabaguio Allado III - acting member representing the private sector;
  • Jose Mari Balandra Ponce - acting member representing private sector;
  • Kenneth Lemuel Go Ramentilla - acting member representing the private sector;
  • Amable Bancod Tolentino - acting member representing private sector; and 
  • Maria Cecilia Bobadilla-Bitare - acting member representing the private sector

Paez also said Richard Santos Clarin was chosen as the new chairman of the GAB.

The GAB regulates and supervises professional sports and allied activities to combat and prevent the existence and proliferation of illegal bookie joints and other forms of organized illegal gambling connected with all play-for-pay sports and amusements games. — BM, GMA Integrated News
