Teofilo Guadiz III named new LTFRB chairman

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed lawyer Teofilo Guadiz III as the new chairman of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Guadiz took his oath of office on Wednesday.

Marcos signed the appointment paper for Guadiz on December 9.

He was earlier appointed as Assistant Secretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Guadiz was also a former chief of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) chairman. He was replaced by assistant secretary Jose Arturo Tugade. —Richa Noriega/NB, GMA Integrated News
