Marcos to attend World Economic Forum in Switzerland —Speaker
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has accepted the invitation to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
According to GMA Integrated News' Ivan Mayrina, Speaker Martin Romualdez made the announcement about the president's decision on Tuesday.
Marcos is with Romualdez for the Commemorative Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations-European Union in Brussels, Belgium.
Last month, the Office of the Press Secretary said WEF founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab invited Marcos to the forum during a breakfast meeting.
The WEF will be held in Davos, Switzerland from January 16 to 20, 2023.
As an international organization for public-private cooperation, the WEF engages the foremost political, business, cultural and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas, its website said. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
