Philippines posts 8,032 new COVID-19 cases from Nov. 21-27
Cases of COVID-19 in the country grew by 8,032 more from November 21 to 26, 2022, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
This represents an average of 1,147 daily cases for the said week, or 0.3 percent higher than the cases registered from Nov. 14 to 20.
A total of 17 deaths occurred from Nov. 14 to 27, which were included in the 120 deaths in the past weeks since July 2020.
As for the intensive care unit (ICU) bed utilization, the Health department said 21.6 percent or 526 out of the 2,430 bed were in use. Non-ICU beds use is at 25.2 percent or 5,169 out of 20,508 beds.
The DOH also reported that the country now has a total of 73,592,319 individuals who are fully vaccinated, while 20,718,469 have received booster shots.
On Monday, November 28, the country logged a total of 1,083 new COVID-19 cases pushing the active tally to 18,507.
New recoveries from the virus for the week totalled 937, while there were 14 new deaths.
