Pasay prosecutors end probe into Juanito Remulla drug importation complaint
The Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office has ended the preliminary investigation into the drug importation complaint filed by the Bureau of Customs against Juanito Remulla III, according to Mao Dela Cruz’s report on Super Radyo dzBB on Monday.
Remulla, the eldest son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, was arrested on October 11 for receiving a package of high-grade marijuana worth P1.3 million in Las Piñas.
The drug importation complaint was filed against him in Las Piñas, but was later referred to the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.
He was also charged with drug possession before the Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court.
Remulla did not file a counter-affidavit over the drug importation charge.
Remulla did not personally attend the hearing on the drug possession charge at the Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 197, also on Monday.
