Juanito Remulla's drug case raffled off
The Las Piñas Regional Trial Court on Thursday raffled off the drug case of Juanito Remulla III, son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla.
According to Manny Vargas’ report on Super Radyo dzBB, the case for violation of Section 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 was raffled to Las Piñas RTC Branch 197 judge Ricardo Moldez II.
Juanito was nabbed during a controlled delivery operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group at Talon Dos, Las Piñas, on October 11.
Following his son's arrest, Sec. Remulla, in a handwritten statement, said he would "not intervene in his son's predicament.” He also shot down calls for his resignation.
House Deputy Minority Leader France Castro earlier called out the supposed special treatment given to Juanito, citing the two-day delay before the arrest was publicized, the blurred mug shots, and the authorities' decision to not submit him to a drug test.
