DLSU grad tops October 2022 chemical engineer licensure exam


A graduate of De La Salle University is the top scorer in the chemical engineer licensure examination administered earlier this month.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, Jerome Ignatius Tan Garces of DLSU Manila scored 89.30, the highest among the 1,036 test takers who passed the examination given by the Board of Chemical Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi.

Oliver Roy Prayon Mañgosing of Xavier University placed second with 88.30%, followed by Caesar John Trinidad Alcoriza of the University of the Philippines Diliman with 87.80%.

Slightly over 50% or 531 of the test takers passed the exam. The best-performing school with at least 10 takers is UP Diliman, with a passing rate of 96.36%, or 53 successful candidates out of 55.
